$350.00

Practice the meditative art of weaving on a rigid-heddle loom with textile artist Lisa Liedgren Alexandersson.

Field trippers will choose from wool yarn in a variety of colors to create a winter scarf - an object of comfort as well as one that allows for connection to material, form and structure. Using pre-warped rigid heddle looms, field trippers will learn the techniques and skills of plain weave. This full-day workshop takes place in the artist’s Greenwood studio. A vegetarian lunch and refreshments served.

Additional studio time will be available the Sunday after workshop to complete projects. Beginners welcome, no prior experience needed.

Lisa Liedgren Alexandersson is a Swedish-born multidisciplinary artist based in Seattle. A graduate from the Art Academy (ENSBA) in Paris, her work has been exhibited in US and Canada and is featured in the collection of Seattle Art Museum. She is the founder of Weaving Pavilion an artistic initiative bridging contemporary art with the community through public weaving gatherings.
