Celebrate spring flora and unleash your creativity at an intuitive painting workshop with artist Trisha Gilmore.
Using the seven design elements - color, value, form, line, shape, texture and space - field trippers will learn how to bring their imagination to life on paper. In addition to acrylic paint, we’ll employ pencil, oil pastels and paper to build layers and add dimension and texture.
This class is designed for all skill levels with materials provided. Guests will take home at least two paintings and new skills to continue their practice. Refreshments served.
Trisha Gilmore is a Seattle-based artist who works primarily with acrylic paint, collage materials, ink and graphite. She composes her abstract paintings from observed landscapes in her world. She paints intuitively, experimenting with the texture, vintage papers and color as she composes. Her work was recently featured at AMcE Creative Arts, Deep Sea Sugar and Salt, and currently seen at the Prairie Underground studio space.
