mending matters, the sweater edition april 5th morning

$95.00

Spend a cozy morning with us as we explore visible mending using traditional darning and patching techniques. Guests will gain new skills and learn to extend the life of our clothing while adding a bit of personal expression to favorite sweaters and woolens.

Field trippers will take home a mending kit to continue their practice. Class is capped at 6 students to allow for ample individual attention. No prior sewing experience needed.

Margaret Chodos-Irvine comes from a long line of craftspeople. She learned sewing from her mother as a young child, creating clothing for her troll dolls. Throughout her career as a professional illustrator and artist, sewing has always been her creative refuge. She now uses textiles and sewing as a medium for her art.
